The area we cover

Please be aware that we are a small locally based charity and, however much we would like to, we cannot practically assist in homing cats outside of the Mid-Sussex area and a reasonable distance beyond.

Adopting a cat

If you are considering giving a home to a cat it would greatly help if you could call us to register your interest.

Please telephone Val on 01903 244478 (and leave a message if she is not available).

Some details about your home environment and the type of cat you are looking for will help us find the perfect pet to join your home.

The Pets Foundation Easter Appeal launches on 22nd March.

Visit our partner store PETS AT HOME in Burgess Hill over Easter to donate and help our cause.

Pets at Home Burgess Hill is supporting Paws & Claws during the Pets Foundation Easter Appeal.

Donations may be made in store from now up until the store closes on Easter Monday 1st April to help support us.

A big thank you to Pets at Home Burgess Hill

Cats of Courage

A compilation of 23 heartwarming stories of our bravest cats who have faced great adversity with great courage. Available from our online shop.

Microchipping your pet

Since the 10 June 2024 it has been a legal requirement to have your cat microchipped or you could face a £500 fine.

The new law applies to both indoor and outdoor cats but not to farm or ferals with little or no interaction with people.

We ensure that all cats that leave our Rescue Centre have been microchipped.

Homes with young Children

Some of our cats and kittens have been rescued from difficult circumstances and from our long experience we believe that they will fare best in new homes where there are NO CHILDREN UNDER 5 YEARS.

Life in the Pavilion

For those, who don't know, the Pavilion is our special facility for long-term resident cats - those that are not easily rehomed.

We try and find suitable homes for all the cats that pass into our care but sometimes it just isn't possible.

However many cats have left the Pavilion to go to new homes, it has just taken a little time for the right person to come forward.

In the meantime they can live out their lives with us, receiving all the care and attention they need, so long as they have good quality of life, in our vet's opinion.

You learn about our resident cats here.

You can help support the Pavilion by becoming a Sponsor or by making a one-off donation below.
