Jake
Dear Paws & Claws
Jake is doing very well - can't believe we've had him over a year! We're so pleased to have taken an older cat especially as they are so often overlooked. He seems very content to potter round for a bit, have something to eat, then go back to his favourite spot on the sofa, rug or bed.
He visited the vet a few weeks ago and all his test results came back within the normal range, albeit at the high end of normal, which I was relieved about.
He's still a very cuddly lap cat and has got a funny range of meows, from a pathetic little squeak to a "give me my breakfast now" demand every morning at 6.20, always just before our alarm goes off. He loves playing with his catnip mice and drinking water out of plant saucers.
We've got into a rather bad habit of letting him drink the dribble of milk left in the bottom of cereal bowls (he hears the sound of the spoon against the bowl and suddenly appears, looking longingly at the bowl - he's so adorable it's very hard to resist!)
All the best,
Olivia and Max
